オーストラリアは現在、韓国、日本、中国ともＦＴＡ締結を目指して交渉中であり、マレーシアとの協定締結により、難航する日本や中国などとの交渉に弾みをつけたい思惑もあります。

オーストラリアとマレーシアは22日、自由貿易協定（FTA）を締結しました。
両国は環太平洋経済連携協定（TPP）交渉合意への足がかりと位置付けているようです。

ＦＴＡ発効後は対米貿易が拡大　韓国、この２カ月で

韓国関税庁は２１日までに、米国との自由貿易協定（ＦＴＡ）が３月１５日に発効してからの２カ月間で、対米輸出が前年同期比で１１・３％、輸入が２・０％それぞれ増えたと発表しました。
全世界向けの輸出は４・０％減少しており、ＦＴＡ効果が表れたとしています。
